Dolly's Day

A RAINY SATURDAY

Its rained the whole day.  No thunderstorms... just rain.  Such a shame as it was Newcastle Pride today.  However Ive seen lots of photos online and everyone seemed to have had a  great time ... plenty of rainbow coloured umbrellas on show.

I just stayed indoors... apart from popping out to put some rubbish in the bin and to get my blip shot.  Lovely red St John Wort berries.

Newcastle had a pre- season friendly match away at Celtic. Kick off 3pm.  It wasn't on the radio.  It was being shown on Newcastle United's own channel but the cost was £6.99 and I decided not to bother.  I kept up to date with the score and watched the highlights online later.  Final score Celtic 4 Newcastle 0.  A disappointing result... although Eddie Howe the Newcastle Head Coach was upbeat.  Newcastle fans commenting online were mainly in two " camps ".  Those who said " its only a friendly... the result doesn't matter " and those who were saying Newcastle are " doomed " even before the season starts and we should sell the goalkeeper ( mind you he did make one terrible error which led to one of the goals ).  I did think it was a poor show but there's no need to panic. ( yet )

Didn't do much today apart from getting a load of washing out of the way and changing all the cat litter... quite a big job as they have four litter boxes. Watched some TV as well... a couple of old episodes of Silent Witness.
