Hamarsland

A warm day, but mostly cloudy and fairly breezy.  There was some lovely sunny spells in the late afternoon.  

A fine mornings rest, on with chores after breakfast.  Walkies with Sammy,  then some time in the garden.  Headed out for a 4K hike in the afternoon.  A quiet evening at home, more walkies but mostly feet up.

A fine hike over the hills, I feel like I haven't done enough hill walks this summer, but it's not the same without Sammy by my side.  Off the beaten track, this old house lies abandoned.  Two old women, probably sisters were the last to live here, before moving to Lerwick, fifty odd year ago.  It's well built, and still in fairly good nick, considering, and the views are amazing.  I'll add it to my long list, those lottery numbers better hurry, I have a lot of houses to renovate.  Hamarsland house, West Hamarsland, Whiteness.
