Vegging out again

Predictable blip for this time of the year, the contents of my trug. Beetroot, courgettes, beans and pod peas. Somewhere in there is my first cucumber, just a small one. I left it on the worktop, only later to hear  noisy crunching.  Mr Squeers (a cat) was tucking in with evident relish.(Extra)

I should have known. Ten years ago I blipped my experiment to test the reported terror with which cats react to cucumbers and Mr Squeers demonstrated his appetite for them even then.

PS He's not a vegetarian.
