Rah, Rah, Siss Boom Bah!
We decided to walk across the U of P campus this morning and found we had to make our way around one group of cheerleaders after another as they began a day of cheerleading summer camp. Another, more impressive, camp taking place was Girls Build where we found table after table of woodworking equipment waiting for participants to resume their projects which included building a playhouse for younger kids and making chess boards and the chess pieces. Also a big bicycle repair area.
Along the way we spotted one of the Bald Eagles we hadn’t seen all summer. See Extra.
In the evening the Minidoka Swing Band performed for the Oregon Historical Society’s Member Appreciation Celebration. nhc and her hubby joined me as we watched and listened. After the band, Eric joined us for a bite to eat. (I wish I weren’t so shy about asking to photograph people because you should’ve seen how classy nhc looked; she can wear anything and has all that great hair, but sorry, no Extra.)
