Lunch train
We discovered the steam railway had a series of journeys where food was served and one was Sunday Lunch on the Sunday we were there so we booked, the price was quite reasonable.
There were a couple of standard courses and we chose roast beef and trimmings which was served on the southward journey and it was a decent sized portion, we also paid extra for glasses of wine. At Castletown we got off for a little while and many pics were taken - quite a few by me - then the engine went to the other end of the train (now going in reverse) for the return journey. On this part we had our pudding, chocolate orange tart for me and Eton Mess for Mr Rat, both tasty.
After the food we had to have a walk to burn some of the calories (though a cuppa in the station cafe was first).
We drove back to the south of the island and visited the southernmost point which had views across to the hills we'd previously been along, though they looked a bit rain-threatened (extra). Mr Rat saw a Hen Harrier on the way back, I missed it, it quickly flew out of sight.
Late in the evening we went down to watch a rather wild sea.
