Dolly's Day

ENTRANCE ... OR EXIT

I decided to get up early and phone the Health Centre to try and get an appointment see a GP to ask about some different painkillers. My leg ulcer pain hasn't reduced since taking the last ones I was prescribed.

So I was ready at 8am to phone the surgery ( the cats decided they were hungry so I had to feed them first.  They don't normally have food at 8am  but when they saw I was up and about they decided it was breakfast time )

When I got through I was 13th in the queue,  However there is a new system where you can press one and hang up ... and you get a call back without losing your place in the queue.  So that's what I did and within a few mins a receptionist rang me back .... and I got an appointment for 3.30pm.

I went back to bed for a while.  When I got up again I had my breakfast and did some chores including a load of washing .

Around 3pm it got very dark, then there was thunder and lightning ... and then heavy rain.  The rain started just as I was walking down to the village. I had a brolly so I mostly stayed dry but I could feel my socks getting wet as I walked... there were puddles everywhere.

Had a good chat with the GP about my leg ulcer and he prescribed some new painkillers.  Hopefully they have some effect.

After picking up my tablets I did some shopping and collected a parcel in Tesco.

Then I went on a blip hunt..... it had just about stopped raining by now.  The Mono Monday theme is 'stone' so I headed for the churchyard intending to blip a gravestone but instead Ive blipped one of the entrances/exits at the bottom of the churchyard.  They are similar and both used to have a metal central pole and metal swinging gates. I lived nearby when I was a child and I would go through these 2 swing gates and cut through the churchyard on my way to school. At other times the gates would be a meeting place for local children - chatting and swinging on the gates. Happy days.  Thanks to JacZero for hosting.
