And breathe

The family went off to the SW this morning to visit friends. I kept out of the way mostly to avoid getting caught up in the mêlée. I did fall out big time on Mei Mei though who was doing her usual off sitting around doing nothing while actively ignoring all instructions. 

WH came back with a red hire car (but without validating the 2nd driver) and they had lunch (leftovers) before seeing off to Elrig, D&G, via Leith (to complete that validation). 

Outside it was raining, a lot. I did some admin, had lunch, alone, vacuumed, tidied, out things back where they below and returned child seats to Sallymair who came by in the heavy rain in mid afternoon. 

The rain went off later on and I dead headed the front roses and berated Willow, who's had a bird. 

Having picked three first sweet.peas, now sewing and watching the Superagers, by Michael Mosley who never got to get old.

Family are sending me lovely pictures of a sunny Port William beach. It's oddly quiet here.
