Back door roses

Woke in the middle of the night as usual to read a message about an unexpected and worrying event. Not the attempted assassination of Trump but Michael taking very unwell.

H asked me to come down (he'd been asking for me apparently) so off I set through damp and very quiet streets. The ambulance was sat outside and the boy was ok but out for the count lying in the bath. The ambulance crew were great and eventually between the 4 of us we got him to a place where he could be kept upright and warm. Apparently it was a quiet night for SAS, weather, everyone gone to Glasgow for TRNSMT?

I stayed after they left and later we got the boy to bed. Whatever was wrong it v seemed more than just the results of a few pints. I left about 6.30, back to bed for a few hours.

When the day started properly the skies had cleared and I went next door and then later tried to settle. I cut the grass and scattered the new lawn treatment, updated a website, and sat outside for a little sewing. Then it was upstairs with the screwdriver to fix the blind.

Watched there end of Wimbledon and then repaired to the front room to avoid the football by watching the latest foreign cop show, 'Hugh Country' from Victoria. But did monitor the BBC website for progress and the result, England lost.
