Sociable

I had an unusually (for me!) sociable day today, with friends from work, to celebrate one of our big birthdays. Gorgeous day for it, we visited the cafe at Raby Castle which I thoroughly recommend.

Home is particularly busy at the moment, with end of term stuff: frantic report writing for me amid last minute meetings, work experience for A and her first 5k ‘race’ on Thursday, and then in the middle of this my mother in law is in hospital having had quite a major op this morning to replace her shoulder joint which she managed to smash a couple of weeks ago! I’m very much looking forward to Thursday when I can put the brakes on a little bit and stop for a while.
