Down by the Lake

I missed going out nice and early when it was still lovely and cool, mostly because the day started out very cloudy and I thought we might have a downpour.

The sky cleared and I took two buses down to the lake in Pully, a small lakeside town.  It was getting hot already, but I still went for a long walk along the lake path, then back to the port to drink a cooling iced ginger.

 I liked this young family on the board, paddling along the edge of the water. That cute little train has special memories for me as I took my very young grandson for a ride many years ago!  Now he's doing his military service for four months!

Next time I go here I'll go really nice and early - and maybe go to the next small town for a change of scene.  There are lots of different choices from where I live. The bus service is wonderful and very reliable. I take out an annual ticket which makes travelling so easy.

Storms and rain are expected tomorrow, so that will bring the temperatures down again - it was starting to get a little hot again!
