The Woodland Garden (Friday 11th July 2025)
At the Old Forge the shade temperature was above 30 degrees, so I stayed in my study with the ceiling-fan on. I did check on the garden and noticed a number of small apples on my young tub-bound apple tree. If I remember rightly, last year there were only one or two.

Lozarithm's Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Glen Campbell - Guess I'm dumb (vocal recorded 8 March 1965, Hollywood CA, band track from 14 October 1964)
Glen Campbell (vcl, 12-str ac gtr) with Brian Wilson (grand pno, vcl), Carl Wilson (12-str el gtr, vcl), Tommy Tedesco (gtr), Steve Douglas (ten sax), Jay Migliori (bar sax), Roy Caton and Oliver Mitchell (tr), Harry Belts and Louis Blackburn (trom), Larry Knechtel (bass), Hal Blaine (dr, timbales, bell tree), the Honeys: Marilyn Wilson, Diane Rovell, Ginger Blake (bckg vcl) and the Sid Sharp Strings
My new Mojo arrived on this day. The cover disc was all by Suede, so not of interest to me, but the magazine included a lengthy tribute to the late Brian Wilson and the tracklist to a 10-song Brian Wilson mixtape, which included this single, which I had on the CD Pet Projects - The Brian Wilson Productions. The song came from the sessions for the album Beach Boys Today! but none of the band wanted to sing it, so it was offered to their tour member Glen Campbell as a thank-you. One can hear how musically Brian Wilson was already moving towards the accomplishments of 1966's Pet Sounds, but the world wasn't ready and the single failed to reach the charts.
