The Lozarithm Lens

By Lozarithm

Abstract Thursday (11th July 2024)

Each time I walk into or back from the town centre, I have to pass through this pavement scaffolding and notice this geometric guard above my head. It seems slightly redundant since although the scaffolding has been in place since 2023 I don't recall ever seeing a builder on it. I haven't had to manipulate the shape but I have done some playing around with colour, saturation (to make it less garish), contrast and so forth for the Abstract Thursday challenge on the theme Abstract Geometry, with thanks to Ingeborg.

Lozarithm's Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Broadcast - Sixty/Forty (recorded 24 July 2003, BBC Maida Vale 4, for John Peel)
This is the final track on the CD Maida Vale Sessions, which I have continued to explore. Broadcast were not known for their cover versions, in fact I don't think they released any others, but this was a version of Nico's composition from her album The Drama Of Exile (1982). Broadcast did record it during the sessions for their album Ha Ha Sound in 2002 but it was only released on an obscure compilation of Warp Records' artists in 2009, so this radio session performance at the time of Ha Ha Sound's release is quite unique.
