Long

A bit of a write-off day, as I was supposed to be on leave, but then ended up working most of the day as there were some things that needed doing before the weekend. In fairness, this was my own internal educationalist ethic at play, with accountability to my students, rather than anyone telling me I had to do stuff.

I went out for a short walk along Moorside in the evening, hence the long shadows in the view across the valley towards Hawksworth.

Most of the butterflies had gone to bed, but I did wake up a few Meadow Brown as I was walking through the long grass, and found one more Purple Hairstreak tree.
