Picking peas in Scorcio temperatures

Well, what a day! Started with a heavy mist in the valley (extras) which cleared to blue skies and very high temperatures. We set off with air-con on, driving to Shrewsbury. We'd been invited to an event at the car dealers where we've got our last 3 cars from.
Our car is also nearing the end of it's PCP loan, we've had it 3 years so we were interested in it's exchange value.
Pleasantly surprised and also offered a substantial discount off a new car again on PCP. So, still going with a Suzuki Swift, same colour. We pick it up next Thursday.
Celebrated by having tea and cake at Battlefield on the outskirts of Shrewsbury. Very, very hot, the tea helped. Spotted a sign there that said tractor barn, love tractors, only to find they were kiddies toy ride on tractors :)
Lovely drive home as we chose a number of our favourite houses and buildings to buy. Window shopping is a fun pastime. Picked up some ice-cream in Llangollen and sat outside trying to eat them before they melted!
R. decided he was going to pick the peas while I had a last minute rehearsal before competition day at the International Musical Eisteddfod in Llangollen.
Busy, hot day.
