At last ....
Some Butterflies. Lots on a Buddleia Bush at the Farm, some Tortoiseshells, many Red Admirals, some Peacocks and even a Fritillary or two.
My lovely cousins H&J have finished their tour of my little part of Shropshire where they have been gathering more information about their maternal Great Grandmother's side of our family. We met up at my favourite Farm, sat outside in the shade with coffee and rhubarb and ginger cake with chickens and bantams milling around and had a long catch up. Then they were off on long and hot journeys back home to London and Essex. We are down in Essex at the end of August when we'll catchup again.
After they'd gone I had a walk round the farm gardens, too hot to walk the trails, but the gardens looked very well, lots of healthy looking veg, and young plants in the polytunnel were benefitting from the misting system on this very hot day hitting 33degrees.
Later in the afternoon I went with Mr HB to the Audiology dept at Shrewsbury Hospital as one of his hearing aids had broken. Rebecca, a very nice young lady was most helpful, gave him a new hearing aid, some more powerful tubes and batteries. Do hope the new equipment makes life easier for Mr HB as his hearing is getting worse and it's so frustrating for him.
Extras: Farm collage and my lovely Cousins. T
