Golden

A warm and sticky summer’s day today, full of chatter.

I was working at home today, and those in the office got evacuated for a fire alarm test, so a couple of meetings were cancelled. The message didn’t get out very well to everyone about the cancellation so I sat in a virtual meeting telling people it was cancelled, whilst they joined!

A couple of colleagues were sat in their gardens, enjoying the weather. One had an ice lolly, another had a choc-ice. I had just made a mango and blueberry smoothie with plenty of ice in so we were all comparing cooling refreshments on a summer’s day!

I am fairly sure some people would swear by tea to cool down, and others would prescribe iced coffee! It’s all down to personal preference. It was fun to sit in the not-happening meeting though, and tell people it wasn’t happening!

My friend who was chairing it also managed to only send a cancellation email to himself and not all the other meeting attendees!

The week has been so busy with so many things occupying thoughts and the next couple of weeks will be similar too. It would be nice to take a break and slow down a little.

Really looking forward to the weekend, I will be off to see TazGF, their wife and The Bo for a short time, and then we will have some Mancunian lunch and make some noise! They also have so much happening at the moment and big events tomorrow so I wish them all the luck - along with anyone here too who will be watching or attending Folkie’s funeral.
