Salute to the Sun
There was something rather relaxing as I walked along the Portobello Prom, and I suspect it was this woman doing her yoga.
Salute to the Sun refers to Surya Namaskar, a sequence of yoga poses performed in a flowing manner, often as a warm-up or as a standalone practice. It's a traditional sequence that is believed to have originated as a series of prostrations to the sun, honouring its life-giving energy.
The practice is known for its ability to warm the body, increase blood flow, and improve flexibility and focus.
I do think that the sun is very restorative and certainly people seem happier and more relaxed in the sunshine.
Anyway, I hope you are having an enjoyable and sunny day.
