HOT House And Hot Weather.
Hill of Tarvit was basking in very warm weather. For me, almost two hot.
We arrived at our appointed time and drove to the car park which is located in a field adjacent to the Southeast entrance of the estate.
We unloaded the car, loaded up our trolley and headed for the entrance in the lower terrace in front of the house. The security was very strict and we we eventually found our way to the appropriate ‘experts’.
We discussed our items with three experts some of whom we knew quite well. We also gained some useful information about two lacquer chairs.
Apparently no expert had heard of David Annand which surprised me. I did mention the Jim Clark at nearby Kilmany. No reaction.
I enquired if the expert had heard of Alan Herriot. No, he had not heard of Alan Herriot. OK.
We departed, walking around the terrace with our trolley whilst we looked at other antiques and collectibles.
Muff attracted a great deal of attention from many women who were cat lovers.
The extra is of an expert discussing a piece with the owner while being by cameramen and sound engineers.
Not an easy thing to do for anyone.
We made our way back to the car, loaded up and headed for home to enjoy a Bottle of Bubbly.
It was so hot that my iPhone overheated. It is fine now.
