Corn Husk
The corn husks are maturing.
We have had soy growing in this field for many years and were very used to the sights and sounds. The corn is an entirely different environment. Walking to the mailbox involves passing by an intimidating green wall that blocks the view of what is coming down the road. Tonight, I heard a tremendous thunder in the corn. I'm guessing it was a herd of deer that were grazing close to the road, running away from me. It was a scary experience until I figured out what was going on. I’m glad they chose to run deeper into the corn instead of running in front of me.
