Departure Gate

This is the Discharge Lounge at the hospital. It worked like clockwork. A lovely bright clean airy room with industrial type fittings so it looked like a trendy café or the departure lounge in an airport. 
Friends from the village collected me. I'd only just started my coffee and biscuits! They delivered me home at the same time as another friend arrived with my shopping and Ziggy. 
Ziggy has been decidedly aloof ever since. I think he hasn't forgiven me for going off in a big yellow vehicle and two complete strangers in the middle of the night. 
Our son is on his way and will get here in about an hour. He's going to stay tonight and keep an eye on me.
