A Day of Purée. Hip, hip, hooray!!
Today I had my nasal tube removed. What a relief. As a result I've been moved from liquid food to puréed food. This is my lunch. Chicken chasseur, Duchesse potatoes and carrots. Now it may look unappetising to you, but it was really quite good. Each element tasted as it should. I think they liquidise each part and then chill it in a mould to make it appear like it's got some shape rather than a blob, before heating it to serve.
Salmon for dinner!! I wonder if it will be fish-shaped?
Just before bedtime last night they moved 3 of us from our ward of 6, to an empty ward. It's just the right temperature and very airy with lots of small open windows. Just 3 of us and we have 2 nurses. The standard and quality of care I've received here have really been excellent.
I've turned off the sound on my Ring doorbell camera but if I look at the history I can see numerous friends coming and going. They're watering the plants every day, and have cleared out all the perishable food amongst other things. It really is a fantastic community.
