Old Photographs

It was a cool day, with on and off rain (sadly just four millimetres - nature and the garden could use lots more water). I spent several hours looking through boxes of photos and scanning the nicest ones for my mother's memory book.

This one shows her parents as a young couple, around 1935. I remember (from stories that my mother once told me) that my grandfather Wilhelm had a motorbike, and that my grandmother Anna drove it, too, which was unusual for that time. 

Whether this motorbike was their own or the photographer's, I don't know. But the teddy bear on its headlamp might have been Anna's idea.
