The unmistakable face of Blipper, JohnGravett, swapping his trusty camera for a pair of drumsticks on his first foray into live music at the Cockermouth Live event at the Brown Cow.

It was a pleasure to be able to watch him and the band, Between the Waves, during the lunchtime set. As we would expect he performed admirably, laying down the rhythm for the other band members to blast out music favourites. I've known John for 17 years and never realised he had this talent and you would never have believed that this was his first live performance for 50 years. He was faultless.

Afterwards we headed to Grasmere to meet up with other friends for a few days in the Lakes, dodging the showers that hopefully have now dissipated to leave good weather for the time we are here.
