Not Cricketing Weather
The Knowle Pavilion in Sedbergh. We're are stopping with friends for the night and Paul and I took the opportunity for a short walk around Sedbergh in the Yorkshire Dales. The town seems dominated by the sprawling campus of Sedbergh School. This beautiful pavilion was overlooking a fantastic ground, which in my day I wiould have loved to play on. Sadly the square, and most recently used pitch were covered in pools of water.
We got back in time for Paul to fire up his new pizza oven, a very grand affair complete with temperature read out as that is most important to produce the finished article. We grazed throughout the evening, eating way too much, but it was too good to refuse. In the extra you can see the latest pizza being inserted onto the hot stone.
Tomorrow we move on to the Lakes for a few days with other friends. Hoping the weather picks up as we've seen more rain in the last 24 hours than in the last 2-3 months further south.
