Rare Visitor
This rare and protected butterfly has the fitting name “scarce swallowtail”. I have only ever seen and blipped one three years ago, and today there was another one feeding on our buddleia. It’s quite big, and unique with its tiger stripes. (Extra: the underside)
I had the plan to work in the garden before it got too hot. But I wasn’t early enough. Last night, some of our neighbours had a party, which kept me from falling asleep. So by the time I was awake and started mowing the grass, it was already unpleasantly warm - but not as much as the 30°C in the afternoon, when P asked me to walk to the supermarket with him.
