Burger King By-Passer, Maidstone

It was a very hot, humid day today which made us both feel lethargic and uncomfortable. We decided to pop into town for a quick drink and to see if we could add to our ongoing Maidstone project. I took the main image on the way back to the car - I loved the dramatic, distorted reflection of the Burger King logo in the parked car's windscreen and I saw this girl and waited until she walked into the frame.
My brother (Groggster) took the extra image,"The Flowering Of A Kentish Man Bag" nearby. The man in the stripy shorts looked so effortlessly cool and suitably attired for the hot weather. We, on the other hand, did not feel cool at all in comparison just sweaty, overheated and tired - still we got our shots so not all bad!
When we got home I thought it would be a good idea to make a raspberry ripple cheesecake from scratch. It was maybe not the best idea on the hottest afternoon of the year but once I'd started there was no going back. It said it would take one and a half hours to cook in bain marie. When I tested it at this point it was still mostly liquid - it took another forty-five minutes! It was worth the wait though as it tuned out to be the best one I've made in a long time!
