Flower Friday : : Petunias
I never liked petunias that much, but there are so many new varieties and they are such satisfying flowers. they come in many colors, bloom forever and are very undemanding.
I think I've said everything I want to say about the state of our union and the lack of enthusiasm for celebrating Independence Day. Instead, we are gathering with like minded friends and celebrating a cherished, and er, eclectic friendship. Spike is going too as we have a neighbor who tends to blow up things on holidays and we didn't want to leave him home alone.
Our destroyer-in-chief commented proudly the other day that he had posted a copy of the Declaration of Independence in the Oval Office. I doubt if he's read it though, for he exhibited little knowledge of what it actually says. It's worth reading.
