3 speed taps?

I must be getting old. 3 speed taps? 
When did taps come with a multi page instruction manual?
When did that become a thing?

J came round and fitted the new super-duper highly economic
water and spray dispenser that will make a difference in my life according to the message on the box.

Don't hold your breath, I'll let you know if it does.
