The good, and the not so good
Couldn't sleep easily last night due to a twitchy left leg. Brufen and a hot shower eased it enough. My swim never happened due to coping with 8K away. But the initial news was good and things seem to be going well.
I had a package to consign so made the planned visit to the cemetery to put garden flowers on my great uncle's grave (died 38 years ago today aged 90) and then planted some primroses on my dad's cousin's CWGC grave. He was 21 when he died (not killed) in 1942. Walked back vis the Kirk and Margiotta, for flour.
My blipper friend, Sallymair, had very kindly offered to lend me childseats so before I crossed to the other side of the city I tidied the wardrobe and made a bed. Things are progressing.
Had a pleasant couple of hours with Sally and C and of course Cleo then back south to drop off a packet for J in Roslin and pick up the ordered goods which had arrived early in Asda.
But there was less good news from afar. The tumble drier is not working properly. I swithered about taking bookings when #1 son was away. Now I wish I hadn't, and of course the 7 hour time difference just complicates matters.
The weather matched my mood - cloudy, cold and intermittent rain, not very summery. I'm still eating leftovers and still worrying. Another French series has started on Walter Presents but I really need something frothy and happy.
