A brisk wind out of
the west may bring us some rain.
I will not object

I was off to Riverside Park before 6. I had a meeting at the office for 7 AM so I had to make my photo jaunt a quick one.

I parked on the east side to have a look at my mountains and the railway bridge. The wind was up making white caps on the river and wave action against the shoreline. I watched the gulls patrolling the shore. Some skipped the waves like children do.

I stood on the Rivers Trail to get a shot of the pier and the Overlander Bridge. All looks glum today in the grey of this morning. Joggers passed and said hello.

I parked beside a vehicle that was carrying the longest kayak I've ever seen on a car rooftop. I wondered how that would handle on the highway in a stiff wind like today.

I got back to the office before 7 to discover a bunny in the landscaping. So, it's not just the deer that are raiding gardens.

The radio news explained that someone in my neighbourhood had set off fireworks for Canada Day without a permit. They started a small grass fire requiring 5 emergency vehicles to attend. For all that, the fine may only be $250. That does not seem sufficient to me!!

I'm home for the day with a short list of jobs. May it be a quiet one.
