Sydney Symphony Orchestra at Sydney Opera House

Today we had a day off from minding Margot as we had the prior engagement of a musical event. We got to the Opera House in time to walk all the way around it on this sunny day, when I noticed this unusual view of this fabulous building.

As for the music, amongst the better known works the SSO always premieres a piece by a less known composer. Some are terrific but today's hurt my ears and I was glad it was only eight minutes long. The Prokofiev violin concerto too was hard to like but Ravel's Daphnis and Chloe was a corker. One out of three isn't bad.

Thanks for hosting Ingeborg.
