Rebirth
It was quite tough sending the children off to school this morning.
I threw myself into some work and planning out childcare arrangements for the summer, which is looking like a fairly even split and means I will see loads of the children, so that cheered me up a bit.
Didn’t have many opportunities for a photo today, but did like this one of the cloud through the skylight.
The original plan for this evening was to meet my BIL for a drink, but wanting to steer clear of alcohol, I suggested going to see a big dumb film involving dinosaurs instead.
So it was, we found ourselves at Lancaster watching the biggest dumbest film of all in Jurassic World: Rebirth.
I appreciate that with films of this nature your sense of disbelief does need to be willingly suspended, but my goodness they made it impossible with this one.
I focused on the demolition of my self-pity bucket of popcorn sprinkled with M&Ms instead, whilst next to me my BIL’s shoulders shook with laughter as the film lurched from one preposterous scenario to another with the characters making a series of bafflingly bad choices.
If a high security laboratory can be brought to its knees by an errant snickers wrapper, there’s not much hope for any of us.
We had great fun taking the film apart on the drive home!
