Had the best night’s sleep in a long while last night and woke up feeling surprisingly refreshed.

Spent a few hours in the office this morning and then worked from home in the afternoon. Enjoying the fact that the mania of June is subsiding and I now have a little headspace available.

Looking forward to making some summer plans with the wee ones, and we started small this evening with a rainy trek down to Arnside for some fish n chips with my parents. 

The greasy grub always tastes better when eaten in Big Blue and even the weather fared up a little, which meant that we could play some beach cricket for a little while. We retired back to my parents after for an ice cream.

Knowing that I was feeling a little low, my mum had crocheted this little smiling sunflower guy (I do like a sunflower) to cheer me up, so he has now taken up residence in the home office where he can spend his days grinning at me from his shelf.

July is off to a good start!
