Combination day

Terry had his EUS test at The Royal Liverpool Hospital so I passed the time between dropoff and pickup by some waterfront walks and a bit of geocaching. It was blowing a right gale on the waterfront so I cut the caching and walks down, adjourning to the pub for a cappuccino.
When I went to pick him up I had to go in to the unit to collect him and it was a nightmare at the dropoff point. You can only park up for 20 minutes and there are only three spaces! If you over-run the 20 minutes you get a £50 fine. Well when I arrived it was all chaos, the spaces were filled, taxis were all parked up by the roadside (the dropoff semi-circle is narrow anyway) and cars were blocking the whole way through having to stop just anywhere they could to drop people off. I drove off and came back and was queueing behind a car which was blocking the way in and out while dropping someone off. I noticed a dropoff space come free and thought I was going to miss it due to being stuck there but amazingly it was still empty when the car in front of me drove off! Slotted in and dashed up to endoscopy to get Terry. We made the 20 minute time slot! He hasn't been informed how the test went but hopefully it went well. I suppose he will get the feedback when he has his appointment with Professor Sutton on the 16th.
It was interesting at home later when I was trying to get the comb through my tangled, windswept hair. Ouch!
