On This Day

Crabbing

A rare blip of my younger son who is on holiday with the girls in Berwick upon Tweed. This morning I boarded the 08:30 train for Edinburgh, changed at Waverley and arrived in Berwick at 10:25 to spend the day with them.

The blip is my son with the crabbing gear just as the rain started to move in. We had a few dry hours in the morning to get to the beach, catch crabs and fish and do some rock clambering. Well they did. I walked along the beach.

This afternoon has been terribly wet which is a great shame for them though we still had a good time. I'm now on the first leg of my journey home and the girls are getting ready for a swimming session.

It's been lovely to spend some of their holiday time with the girls and join in their stories. We had a big lunch so I won't need to eat tonight. I will be taking myself off to bed shortly after I arrive home.
