Too Hot For Me

Well, Canada Day came and went, and I didn't venture out of the house except to water my new plants! No picnics.. not even lunch on the deck...no photos except this one as an emergency blip! And it just happened to feature red and white... which is the nearest thing I got to celebrating today. No red t-shirt, no Canada flag on the lawn and no, I didn't even go down to see the fireworks. 

I spent the day indoors in air-conditioning. I am a wimp when it comes to heat and humidity. At least I had a good book to read and Wimbledon tennis to watch ...and my garden benefited; it got more watering than it has seen in years!  It seems that hydrangeas like water?  After all the effort and expense of giving all those hydrangeas a home, I didn't want them withering up in the scorching sun. 

Proud to be a Canadian, but wise enough to stay out of the heat.
