In the heather ….

I can’t believe this is my third bird shot in a row! Thanks so much for the comments, hearts and stars for the last two days of stonechats and swallows. Today’s is more mundane, but at least my garden sparrow is keeping to an alliterative theme!

This time of the year, our heather seems to be alive with little sparrows. Often, the birds themselves are invisible, and all we see are frantic movements from within the vegetation. I’m not sure whether it’s seeds or insects that they’re after, but they certainly seem to be enjoying themselves!

The weather’s overcast all day, and certainly far cooler than it’s been. I’ve been putting off the task of rehanging our ‘artworks’ on the walls after all the work done earlier in the year. To be honest, I rather like the walls left empty for a while, and apart from that I find the decisions needed rehanging are traumatic! We could just replace them all as they were, but even then, it’s working out height and distance. In any case, we’re moving some around which makes the decisions even harder - and you know me and decision making! Still, we manage three walls without a major argument  - then leave the rest for another day!
