Weathered
We are in the middle of another storm system and have had steady rain since late yesterday afternoon. Not the same torrential type that it was back at the end of May, but steady. The winds have picked up this evening and I can hear the neighbours trees creaking as well as my Crepe Myrtle protesting in the wind. There are regular bangs and crashes which I hope is just my neighbours back area. I have been out in my wellies but haven't seen any damage at my place. The roof is still on, the garden shed door is firmly bolted and nothing seems amiss here. Even the owl that i have on my roof to frighten the possums away (fat chance) is still there.
The seas will be whipped up and we have been told to stay out of the water.
Maggy and I visited the hospital today. We had some lovely feedback from some of the patients which makes it all worthwhile. There was the most gorgeous about 10 month old child visiting her granddad. She had the most infectious smile and was squealing with delight when she saw Maggy. Maggy, was super excited to see her too and her tail was wagging at a million miles an hour. She forgot herself and licked the dummy which was swiftly removed from Maggy access and gave Summer (that was the child's name) lots of kisses. Summer's mum was pretty chilled about it all too. What fun.
Of and for the record, this is the magnolia (Leonard Messel) at the front of my place which has been spotting flowers for a couple of weeks. Just one for the record.
