Misty sun
There was a cold, easterly wind blowing this morning, with cloud blowing across the tops of the Port Hills. The sun rose through a little cloud on the horizon, and was then filtered by the mist making it photographable for quite a while.
Last night, at our photography club meeting, we had a presentation by Chris Pickering, on astrophotography. This included the sun, as the largest stellar object from our viewpoint here on Earth. I wasn't expecting to be photographing it this morning, though. The close-to full moon was a more likely target, as it shone brightly earlier this morning while I drove to the airport. No time to stop then, though, and it had disappeared by the time I got back here.
