Moominmama

Out on a trip to Gloucester to visit the Moomin 80 exhibition in the Museum of Gloucester as one of Louisa's birthday presents. The exhibition was great, with an 'x-ray' machine revealing which Moomin you were most like (I got Stinky!) and was as much about exploring the characters and their, and your, emotions like sadness* and anger* as it was about the history.
Gloucester just seems a bit of an odd place to host it. 

We spent a bit of time wandering around the center trying to find something Owen wanted to eat before finding a suitable coffee shop at the third attempt. Rather than drag Owen around town any more I got some cash (the systems were all down in the Museum) and nipped back into the museum to get Louisa a present then we took a detour to the Forest of Dean for the playground* and a short section of the sculpture trail.

Another long, but enjoyable day.
