Getting hotter!

A cool but muggy morning with a warm breeze. My sister insisted that I should wear shorts, but I don't think I've done so since my schooldays! Any way we went shopping in Sunbury and I bought some shorts and a pair of lightweight trousers!

My brother was coming to collect us at 1pm and we drove down to Walton and along to Weybridge and parked by the river opposite Shepperton Lock. A short walk took us to the bridge over to D'Oyly Carte Island, a private 2 acre island in the Thames where we sat by the river and had ice creams. 

My brother and I then took the ferry over to the lock where we had a wander and walked over the lock gates to Lock Island and enjoyed tea and cakes, or rather my brother did and I had a diet Coke! Two more Thames islands ticked off! My extra is of a lad launching his canoe the easy way!

Back to my brother's house for a while, then my sister and I walked the ten minutes back to her house. A lovely afternoon out, but getting warmer!
