Into the unknown
J and I took a journey across the water (the river Forth) into the Kingdom Fife) then through Glendevon in Perth and Kinross to a garden tucked away on a tiny side road shared with Glendevon Parish church. The garden is private but opened this weekend as part of the Scottish Garden Scheme to raise money for charity, in this case what most of us will know as Ronald McDonald House. The garden is a riot of colour and quirkiness, some unusual plants in amongst native , well weeds, but it works so well. The garden is big enough for a substantial pond and several “ rooms “. Add in a nice cup of coffee an exceptional scone and jam, two very friendly and proud owners, and a good cause , what’s not to like. A short journey to Salin Shaw farm shop for lunch, potato scone stack, yes it’s a thing, success all round
