Bowes Museum

Last day of our short break and the warmest. We had deliberately left A trip to Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle until today to avoid the forecast heat. The museum did not disappoint, definitely something for every one culminating in the incredible silver swan automaton., (only operates at 2.00 pm).Nice lunch in their very comfortable cafe. The face is a part of one of the quilting exhibits.
