Catbells
The day started most unpromisingly, but the weather forecast's prediction of better to follow proved reliable. A grey and drizzly trip in the launch from Keswick, to the foot of Catbells was followed by a slightly damp start to an ascent which reach the summit in bright sunshine. Dropping down to the Newlands side, from Gate Hause led to a very pleasant stroll back to the jetty with some great vistas, including this view of the Skiddaw group.
