Saturday sing!

This lunchtime we have been singing in this lovely old church in Bradford. Last year we sang at it’s sister church nearby in early June with the Bradford Concert Band. Today it was just us, the All Together Now Community Choir.

We sang for about half an hour and then broke for lunch. Sandwiches, cakes and drinks were available for a donation. Then we sang a second set of songs and I have to say they all went down very well.
The church, St Wilfred’s, is 120 years old this year and is a grade two listed building. The event was to raise funds for it’s maintenance. This was the view I got from where I was standing before we started to sing (hard to take a picture of everyone when you are one of the singers!) The acoustics were great.
A very nice start to Saturday afternoon. The sun was out when we left the church so it is now very hot though breezy.

The extra was taken in our back garden about 10.00 pm last night. We know we get badgers most nights as they dig holes in the lawn, Chris often sees them but I don’t. This one is the ‘blond’ one of the three and I managed a half decent shot of him despite the light reflections in the conservatory windows.
