Lavender Fields

It was time for my annual trip to the Lavender Fields near Alton. 

Different types of Lavender bloom at different times, but there was plenty in full bloom to see ... and the smell was divine.  It was also good to see many more butterflies flitting around than last year and there was a consistent drone of bees and associates in the background.

Having had my fill of lavender, I headed a few miles down the road to Selborne and Gilbert Whites' House for the afternoon with more butterflies and floral feasts for the senses.

It was a good day.
