Damselfly Feasting
After a visit to the garden centre for coffee and something organic to try to stop slugs and snails decimating my flowers and veggies (I could weep!) I headed to a new car park for me near Virginia Water for a walk. This is a much quieter part of the lake and I had a lovely peaceful walk.
It was good to see plenty of meadow brown butterflies flitting about, along with damselflies and dragonflies near the water. This damselfly had settled on a blade of grass for what appears to be a meal of an ant. It's one I hadn't identified before, but I'm pretty sure it's a female blue-tailed damselfly.
