Paper weaving
Tess(a) came round this morning and we sorted and moved a lot of pots, old plants, soil, shelving and so on, so that she can move the bowser on Monday. This was hard work, as it was hot outside. I put on some Sea Shanties to help us work well.
Afterwards, we drove to Cirencester (having given up on the idea of a walk because we were exhausted). We had lunch outside, on the rooftop area of a restaurant, then went to New Brewery Arts, where I went with Steve last week. This time there was a paper crafting workshop, as part of the Craftival event. We tried our hands at Lino printing, and weaving with paper. I created a ‘loom’ from paper and then took it home to weave in some of my own papers, because I have so many. I was pleased with the result, later on….
The shot above is of some of the tutor’s work. Tess, meanwhile, had got stuck in with the lino printing. We went on to visit the studio of one of my favourite artists, Tracey Elphick. We had a chat with her and bought some of the sale merchandise, then carried on our tour of the town.
Eventually it was time to go back to Stroud. I have been sound very little since returning, apart from paper weaving that thinking up ideas.
One bag of stuff out to the charity shop today, what can I take out tomorrow? I’ve advertised a small TV on Freegle. Tessa says things go quickly there .
