Down by the River Clwyd
FRIDAY
Although I’ve been racking up the steps walking, I haven’t really been pushing myself with any proper cardiovascular exercise lately. So this morning, I decided it was time for a run—down to the river and back.
It was a hot run and I completed the 5k route, which includes a 100m climb, at a slower than usual pace - 6:57 /km. it felt good to get out and get the legs moving again.
This afternoon I did a bit more dead-heading and weeding in the garden, before driving 54 miles over to Chester and back for Prue’s final sign-off with the orthopaedic surgeon following her hip operation back in March. Ironically, the surgeon lives just up the road in our village.
