A Tantalising Glimpse

B and I walked across Kelling Heath to Weybourne Station this morning.  Thankfully the predicted heatwave hadn't got going by then and our breezy walk was fairly cool.

I've added an extra of the whole of the train, just in case you're curious. I've also added an extra of Platform 2, in a rare, quiet moment on the station with seemingly no one around.

Weybourne Station is my happy place, it's beautifully maintained and in a picturesque setting set into the North Norfolk countryside. It would be easy to think it was either a model layout or a photo from a Ladybird book.  Even visiting 'The Ladies' is a pleasure with their original Thomas Crapper toilets and the wonderfully evocative bar of 'Wright's Coal Tar Soap'.

Even better, they now have a new coffee machine in the station buffet too.
